Q. Does this service breach the Medicine's Australia Code of Conduct?
A. A. No, Appointment Maker in no way breaches any part of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct. Appointment Maker complies with all aspects of the Code and ensures companies an ethical process by which to conduct appointment making.
Q. How much will it cost to use the Appointmentmaker system?
A. We are offering clinics a 6 month, no obligation, free trial period. After this time, if you are satisfied with the service, there will be an annual subscription fee of $295.00 plus GST.
Q. We don't offer many appointments for Medical Representatives to see our doctors. Unfortunately, as a result many of the Representatives from smaller companies often miss out on an appointment. How can we limit larger companies with multiple divisions?
A. The system is designed to give you the option to allow only one appointment per company and its associated divisions. When entering your clinic details you are able to choose this option.
Q. How can this system eliminate the need for us to manually book appointments for Medical Representatives to see doctors?
A. The system is fully automated. Once you have set your protocols and selected times for Medical Representatives to make appointments, the system will run itself. There will no longer be a need for Medical Representatives to come to your clinic to book an appointment.
Q. We frequently have problems with Medical Representatives coming to our clinic without an appointment to see doctors. How can Appointmentmaker overcome this?
A. The system allows you to establish clear guidelines and protocols for Medical Representatives. These protocols will be clearly displayed on the site for Medical Representatives to view when visiting your clinic online. The system will also allow you to restrict certain activities for example, a Medical Representative attending the clinic to check if the doctor requires samples. The Appointmentmaker system allows you to request samples directly to your Medical Representative.
Q. We have problems with Medical Representatives not attending appointments. How can Appointmentmaker help us with this problem?
A. The system requires all appointments to be confirmed within 48 hours of the appointment. If a Medical Representative fails to confirm their appointment within this designated time, their appointment will be cancelled and the system will proceed to contact Medical Representatives registered on a waiting list, offering the appointment.
Q. How will drug companies know we are using Appointmentmaker?
A. We have produced information for you to pass onto Medical Representatives, notifying them about your change to Appointmentmaker. We have also produced door stickers, alerting Medical Representatives that you are using the system. We will also be in contact with Sales Managers, notifying them about Appointmentmaker. Medical Representatives will also be able to search for your clinic using Appointmentmaker.
Q. Will the system cater to our unique requirements?
A. The system is very flexible and capable of adapting to varied needs and requirements.
Q. Will the system require a lot of time to maintain?
A. No! Once it has been set up for you, it will run itself with no maintenance required. The only instance will be if you need to update or change clinic information.
Q. What if our clinic does not have access to the internet?
A. You can still use the site. There are other options available, which can be discussed with you.
Q. What do we do with existing appointments that have already been made prior to us registering with Appointmentmaker?
A. All existing appointments using old formats will need to be completed. You will need to establish a cut off date for your old calendar and inform Medical Representatives that you have changed to Appointmentmaker as of that date.
